Weight gain occurs when you regularly eat more calories than you use through normal body functions and physical activity. The main reason is our lifestyle habits causing weight gain. Weight gain is as easy as we eat regularly. But maintaining your body weight is not at all an easy task especially, in this busy lifestyle.

Losing weight means eating fewer calories and burning more energy through physical activity. It sounds very simple. But more than 60% of adults are overweight or obese. You can see our lifestyles. We are all of us eating more calories than we need and not doing enough physical activity.

The main reason why many peoples are gaining weight is as follows:

Food labeled ‘low-fat’

Lots of foods in the supermarkets today are saying that they are giving low-fat products. But in most cases, low-fat foods contain high levels of sugar. Products in these packets also contain lots of calories and so contribute to weight gain.

Stress

When we are stressed, we eat more. As per many doctors stress increases the hunger hormones and hence we start eating more than regular. So it can be easy to reach for sugary things when stressed. Do this frequently and you may put on weight.

Eating portions

When we start eating we mostly eat more than we have to eat. The reason why we eat more is craving, we can’t control our craving. This is the main reason for getting more calories.

Time

Your eating time also matters. When we eat on an abnormal time it affects the body. Sometimes we skip breakfast when we are in a hurry and it makes you fat. Skipping your diet can make you fat. Not eating on- the time is a big factor gaining fat because when we skip and then next meal, we gain more calories.

Physical activities

In today’s world where everything is online, we don’t do physical activity. We spent more time on bed, offices, and phones. This is the reason we don’t spend time outside games, hence we have zero physical activity.
